Hey....There was a brave, little girl in Portland, Maine. She was born with a rare genetic condition called Mermaid Syndrome. Her legs were fused together and had one partial kidney and nothing below that.
She faced many challenges and fought many diseases and the difficulty of her illness. The girl was named Shiloh Pepin. She lived with her loving parents who strive to help her live a better life and be a normal child.
Little Shiloh had a cold, it became pnuemonia and she was on antibiotics and a ventilator. She fought hard, but it became too much and now, Shiloh is gone. She died at the age of ten years old.
I seen her on TLC a year ago and admire her positive attitude. Shiloh could have seperated legs, but she chose to remain as the only living child with mermaid syndrome. I say farewell to her and I suggest all must do the same.
